Brand Crush: Center for Reproductive Rights

Written by TeamSEQ | Nov 10, 2021 10:06:06 PM

With #GivingTuesday approaching on Nov. 30, we are sharing our Brand Crush on a nonprofit client that is near and dear to our SEQ-hearts. Fueled by the mission to advance reproductive rights and fundamental human rights around the globe, the Center for Reproductive Rights (The Center) does critical work to promote the health and well-being of women and underserved populations. We could not be more thrilled to have partnered with The Center over the past year to produce numerous events.

Here are just a few reasons we think this incredible organization is brand-crushworthy:

• The Center advocates for women’s rights and underserved communities.

First and foremost, we love to work alongside groups with strong minds and missions. Team SEQ also dreams of an existence within the Center for Reproductive Rights’ vision: “a world where every person participates as an equal member of society with dignity, regardless of gender; where every woman is free to decide whether or when to have children and whether to marry; where access to quality reproductive health care is guaranteed and where women can make these decisions free from coercion or discrimination. “

We can sleep well at night knowing that The Center is advocating for each of us. Whether it is their work at the U.S. Supreme Court or in Africa advancing policies to improve maternal health, or so many other places around the world protecting the rights of women and girls.

• The Center values brand consistency.

This wouldn’t be a Brand Crush blog if we didn’t actually LOVE their brand! It’s true, The Center believes in brand consistency as much as we do, and we can prove it. Their brand essence is palpable no matter where you encounter the organization—their website, social or print and digital materials. They have a brand vision, and they stick with it. Their events are no different. They maintain brand colors, messaging, and voice throughout each touchpoint, following brand guidelines that guarantee consistency event- wide (a dream for our design team, which preaches the same!). In a fun twist, speakers wore branded beanies during the welcome video for their San Francisco and Los Angeles virtual galas, establishing a pervasive brand presence throughout the virtual platform. These strategic moments help to both cultivate and nurture donors who gain a solid understanding of The Center’s mission and how they make a difference.

• The Center has big names backing their work.

When high-profile and respected public figures put their own time and donations behind a cause, we love to see it (especially throughout the events we produce)! Sequence and the Center for Reproductive Rights have engaged several celebrity supporters to help tell the story: CNN commentator and Center for Reproductive Rights board member Maria Cardona; Actor and NYT Best Selling Author Busy Philipps; Producer and LGTBQ+ Activist Laverne Cox; and Co-Chairs, Actors and CRR Board members Heidi Lindelof and Elizabeth Banks. Their passion for The Center’s mission is evident. Lending their platforms to share the importance of donating to the ongoing efforts of The Center’s work has been incredible!

• They trust the SEQ team to design their events with purpose.

Not only is The Center’s team amazing to work with and openly appreciative of our efforts, but they trust our strategy to design events that motivate donors to support them. We don’t take this responsibility lightly. To date, we’ve produced three annual galas (New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco) which have successfully raised more than $2.7 million towards The Center’s mission, their inaugural Summit, and today we are going live with another incredible hybrid gala for The Center!

• We admire how The Center focuses internally on diversity, equity and inclusion.

Not only does the Center for Reproductive Rights advocate for human rights around the world, they commit to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) within their own walls. From publishing their DEI Inclusion Statement to reporting ethnicity and race data for the organization each year, it is clear that they are devoted to appreciating the differences that make their team strong.

These examples leave little question as to why this organization is worthy of our latest Brand Crush! If you are interested in hearing more about how our team helps organizations like the Center for Reproductive Rights design and manage events that further their cause, let’s connect
