Three Reflections Heading Into 2021

Written by TeamSEQ | Dec 17, 2020 2:00:00 PM

As the year finally draws to a close, the only issue we'd take with a three-month Caribbean vacation is that it wouldn’t be nearly long enough. As it turns out, a business whose purpose is bringing people together set against a global pandemic that prevents people from being brought together makes for a long year. As we look back on 2020 there is certainly plenty to reflect on, but here are three sentiments at the top of our list.

We are grateful. We are grateful to our entire team for being on this journey with us. Grateful for them consistently bringing passion, dedication and relentless professionalism to the table every single day. We were fortunate that due to our technical production expertise within live events we were well positioned for the world of virtual, but that was only the first step. Our remarkable team allowed us to make the real jump with our systems intact, and a push for creativity and never look back. We’re also incredibly grateful to our clients — old and new — who partnered with Sequence and trusted us with their events, brands, missions and attendees. Most of all we are grateful to continue doing what we love to do: creating events with essential connection.

We are pensive. We are reflecting on all of our friends, partners and colleagues in the events and hospitality industry whose businesses and livelihoods have been so significantly impacted by COVID. From hotels and venues to restaurants and caterers, to suppliers across the board, the events and hospitality community is comprised of some of the most talented people we know, and we’re thinking about them often. We can’t wait to get back to in-person events and collaborate with the people we so enjoy and admire.

We are excited. We are excited about the virtual experiences we’ve produced over the past 9 months for global brands and renowned nonprofits, and what we’ve been able to accomplish as an agency in the face of adversity. We’re excited about our brand refresh and new website that best represents who we are and how we’re currently working with our clients to produce impactful events. We are excited about the projects and experiences we are currently executing on, and of course, we are excited to hopefully be producing live events again very soon.

Whether you’re a client, partner, colleague or peer, thank you for your support during this challenging year! Wishing you a happy safe holiday season and we can’t wait to reconnect with you in 2021.
