Diversity Scholarship Initiative

At Sequence, we understand that diversity is crucial for a successful and vibrant events industry (the more unique points of view in the mix, the better!). While the current landscape is more challenging in our industry today than ever before, we know that the barriers for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) are often greater in the best of circumstances, and frequently overlooked. We acknowledge these struggles, both from the pandemic and countless systemically-engrained obstacles in place long before now.

We are taking deliberate steps as a company to increase and improve inclusion, equity, and representation within our team and within the meetings and events landscape as a whole. Team SEQ is proud to support these efforts today via a partnership with the Event Leadership Institute (ELI) to co-sponsor their incredible Scholarship Program!

ELI's Scholarship Program will offer the resources to develop and re-skill event professionals so that they can survive and thrive into the future. With funds matched dollar-for-dollar with ELI, Sequence will be sponsoring 12 scholarships, specifically earmarked for diverse candidates to cover professional development course fees.

Scholarships are available for the event industry's #1 course in virtual meeting management, Virtual Event & Meeting Management, as well as other courses, including Pandemic Meeting & Event Design. Please see ELI Scholarship Program’s website to apply!

While this is an important first step, we know there is continued work to be done to create a more diverse and inclusive space for all. If you are a BIPOC, LGBTQ, female, or veteran-owned business, vendor, or event professional, we’d love to hear from you! Email Team SEQ at info@sequence-events.com.
