5 Things Team SEQ Is Thankful for This Year
As part of their time at SEQ, every intern class gets the ultimate hands-on experience: organizing their own event for our team. Not only does it bring them into the heart of event production, but it also leads to some unforgettable team bonding.
Yesterday, our talented interns hosted a Paint & Sip soirée—and with Thanksgiving on the horizon, the conversation quickly shifted to everything we’re thankful for this year.
In the spirit of the season, here’s our (by no means comprehensive!) gratitude list for 2024:
1. Our Passionate Team
“Teamwork and camaraderie,” said production manager Lindsey Michelle Gradwohl when reflecting on what she's most thankful for right now. Chief operating officer Erin Rynn also feels especially grateful for the camaraderie shared during our recent busy event season, saying, “I know it was a lot of work and long hours, but the laughter and connection made my heart full all week. I love this team!”
Our event production assistant Sydney Weinstein shared her gratitude for the mentorship she’s experienced at SEQ, saying, “This team has taught me so much, and for that, I’m endlessly grateful!” And chief development officer Dana Lowenfish added a heartfelt note: “I’m grateful to be able to smile with you all again after a scary health scare this summer.”
In an industry known for long hours and high stakes, our team’s camaraderie, resilience, and support keep us grounded. Our team is the heart of SEQ—and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
2. Our Innovative Clients
We’re so lucky to work with visionary clients who push boundaries and inspire us with their bold ideas and a shared love for face-to-face connection. Event producer Bailey Nielson, for example, loved “bonding with the Horizon Organic team in Nashville” while producing the brand’s vibrant activation for the Mom 2.0 Conference, while event coordinator Emily Akers expressed her gratitude for our ongoing collaboration with digital advertiser leader GumGum, which always brings new inspiration and fresh ideas.
We consider our clients more than partners—they’re collaborators in the truest sense, from sharing ambitions and brainstorming at all hours to aligning on goals and navigating each project’s unique challenges together. Here’s to every client who treats us as part of their team and brings so much excitement and innovation to our world.
3. Our Fantastic Vendor Partners
It takes a village—or, in our case, an amazing lineup of vendor partners. From florists to photographers, caterers to AV experts, these partners bring creativity, expertise, and reliability that make each event shine. They’re not just colleagues; they’re friends we trust, time and time again. (We’re so thankful, we even dedicated an entire blog post to them!)
4. The Event Industry
Working in the event industry is rarely easy—but it’s always packed with adventure. We’re endlessly grateful for the opportunity to work in amazing spaces, and the constant push to be better than we were yesterday. Production coordinator Lana Canton, for example, values “getting to go to amazing new places with fabulous people!”
Beyond that, we’re thankful to be part of an industry-wide community where inspiration, trends, and ideas are always circulating. And every new experience—from embracing new tech to exploring emerging design trends to traveling to new cities—helps us evolve and grow, both personally and professionally.
5. Creativity!
At SEQ, creativity isn’t just a nice-to-have; it’s the very core of what we do. We’re endlessly appreciative of the freedom to dream big and take our ideas to new heights. Pushing boundaries and surprising our clients (and ourselves) is what gets us up in the morning! Whether it’s designing a jaw-dropping setup or pulling off an immersive experience, we thrive on the chance to innovate and delight our clients and attendees alike.
